BEIJING – The U.S. Olympic basketball team treated President Bush and perhaps a billion more fans to a game to remember.
With LeBron James and Dwyane Wade soaring for dunks that thrilled the raucous crowd at Beijing’s basketball arena, the United States pulled away for a 101-70 victory against host China on Sunday night.
Wade scored 19 points and James had 18 for the Americans in one of the most highly anticipated events of these Summer Games.
Houston Rockets All-Star Yao Ming scored 13 points for China.
China got smashed!! Wow, this Olympic team has made me a believer. Lebron promised gold last month, I guess they are not taking that lightly. This was one of the biggest games already. Let’s hope they can keep that momentum all the way to the end. I’m hoping they slaughter everybody else along the way!!
NoahSife.com got word that Kobe might go overseas when his contract ends. They asked him whether he would solicit overses offers when his contract ends Bryant said “yes”. Wow, this is big. Somebody big is going to make that leap. Josh Childress of the Hawks already signed a 3 year 20 million dollar deal to play in Europe. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Kobe Bryant is tryna get 50 million a year!!!! SERIOUS CAKE.
More and more stars are thinking about making that plunge because the money is getting a little funny over here. Ain’t that a bitch! People didn’t know high gas prices would lead to all this. We need to get our shit together.
Kobe has a fair reason though because he stayed a while in Italy and even owns a stake in an Italian team the Olimpia Milano. So he might jet over there and play for his own team. I can’t wait to see where this goes. I don’t necessarily want to see them go but that will wake a lot of people up and make me start watching international channels ya dig. (Read Full Story Here)
Paul Pierce was at a basketball camp in Madrid and he was being interviewed by a reporter this is the interview:
“Q: Is Kobe really the best player in the world? Pierce: I don’t think Kobe is the best player. I’m the best player. There’s a line that separates having confidence and being conceited. I don’t cross that line but I have a lot of confidence in myself.”
I don’t blame Pierce for saying that. Everytime you put on that jersey you should believe you are the ebest player in the world, if you don’t think that it will affect your performance. Victory starts in your head. “It doesn’t matter if you say you can, or can’t do something, either way your right. And in this years finals I believe Pierce believed it more than Kobe did.
If you’ve ever seen the movie “Back to the Future” you’ll know what i’m talking about. If you haven’t seen the movie something is wrong with you. These are the shoes he was rocking in the scene with the hoverboard.
These shoes were fictional, and only used in the movie. But fans were dying for Nike to release them so they did, but not really. They had a big event for the release and invited Kobe Bryant who showed up in a Delorean.
Kobe came rocking the shoes, and signed some autographs.
The only thing is that they only released 350 pair. (What a rip off!!) so there were a lot of people that were pissed! I don’t know if they’ll release more or not but they’re selling on EBAY for some serious money. I don’t see what the big deal is. Nothing fancy to me. If they glowed in the dark or had a light on em maybe. But they look extra regular. Oh well, Nike fans, stand up!! And shout out to Michael J. Fox who set it off in all those movies…
Every time you see these guys in the red, white, and blue you get excited. It’s like Christmas day for all basketball fans. The ultimate all star team. Up until recently these uniforms were like superman uniforms, indestructible. Now, you don’t know what to think. I mean they could very well win gold again, but what the hell happened in 2004? Bronze medal? The first Dream Team was blowing teams out by 70 points! Now you can’t even call them the Dream Team anymore. They arrived in NY so Nike could show off their team to the world. They smiled took pictures and met with fans. I believe in them, hey even Superman has been beaten from time to time. Let’s just hope they earn their name and the confidence of the country back…
I never knew how bad it was to have built up animosity towards someone till i had to share a room with someone in college. Me and him were in one room for an entire semester and there were so many things about him that I absolutely hated!! But everyday, I would smile and act like everything was all right. Then one faithful day we ended up getting into an argument about something frivolous when I spewed out all my true feelings for him. How I thought he dressed stupid, his dumb looking haircut, and his utterly repulsive taste in nasty, trampy, whorish women that he would gallivant in and out of our dorm room. After it was all said and done of course I said I was just playing and laughed it off but I could tell his whole spirit was broke. Our relationship was never truly the same again because now he knew how I truly felt about him.
It is the same with Shaq and Kobe. All that pent up anger and aggression towards each other eventually spilled out. In Kobe’s case it was when he was hit with the rape charge and he went on and on about how Shaq rapes women and pays them off afterwards to be quiet. Or when Shaq is given a microphone in a bar after a couple of drinks and goes on a rant about how Kobe isn’t as good without him, how he likes to lick Hershey highways ( that’s bootyholes for those that don’t know Sife lingo) and about how he caused Shaq to get a divorce.
This all goes back to pinned up aggression towards someone. It stems from bad communication between two people and a lot of speculation. These two have never like each other. That’s cool, some people I don’t like, never have, never will, some I have never met, some I have seen once. Anyways the best way to get that aggression out is, not to fight but to talk about it, inform the other person how you feel and maybe you can get on the same page, if not you can agree to disagree. Either way you won’t be holding animosity towards somebody because it’s going to come out one way or another, you might just find yourself spitting 5 minute freestyle straight dissing somebody, a little something like this…..
